Severe Weather Coverage

Severe Weather Season is upon us & Topeka’s Rock Leader has you covered!

Advance planning and quick responses are key to severe weather season. Know the differences between watches and warnings; a watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather and warnings mean a severe weather situation is actually taking place.

Build an emergency supply kit consisting of flashlights, a portable battery-operated radio, first aid kit, and lots of extra batteries.  Develop an emergency communication plan in case family members were to get separated from one another during a severe weather event.

Always be aware of your surroundings, know the situation, and keep your radios tuned to V100!
