This weekend on the show we’ll be featuring Breaking Benjamin as our band of the week!

Breaking Benjamin has been releasing hit songs since the early 2000s. Some of those hits include singles like “Polyamorous,” “So Cold,” “Diary of Jane,” and “I Will Not Bow.” In 2011 the band took a break after some arguments between Benjamin Burnley and the rest of the band. During this period they released a greatest hits album titled Shallow Bay.

In 2014 the band announced that they were returning to the music scene, well, kind of. Burnley put together an entirely new band, with the exception of himself, and they wrote, recorded and released “Dark Before Dawn” in 2015. That album came with a number of hits, but “Ashes of Eden” stands out. Breaking benjamin has been touring non-stop since the release, but according to some of the members’ soical media accounts they’ve started working on a new album. When will that be released? Only time will tell.

Also coming up this week we’ll hear music from bands like Devour the Day, ShinedownThousand Foot Krutch and a whole hell of a lot more.

You can keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter and by emailing [email protected]. These are also the ways you can send in requests to the show! Don’t forget that the Vortx launches Sunday night at 9. Don’t be late.
