This Week Inside the Vortx – Red – All That Remains – Blink-182

The time changed last weekend and the Vortx didn’t like that very much. This week it spat out the names of three bands instead of just one. Sunday will be the first time in Vortx history to feature three bands; one band per hour. We’ll hear hits from Red, All That Remains and Blink-182. What order will they all come in? Only time will tell.

Red has been on the Rock scene since 2006 when they released End of Silence. Since then, the band has put out four other records including their most rescent release, of Beauty and Rage. The band has been touring over the past year in support of the 10th anniversary of End of Silence. You can see them perform live this Tuesday(March 21st) at Aftershock in Merriam, KS. Tickets are on sale now and are only $17.00.

All That Remains has been around since 1998. Since the band formed they’ve released seven albums and are set to release an eighth next month. This week Ethan talked to the frontman, Phil Labonte, about their new hit “Madness” that you’ll get a sneak peek of during the show. All That Remains will be performing on Sunday May 14th as an opening act for Korn. I know what you’re thinking, it’s Mother’s Day and you don’t want to dissapoint your mom by going to the show, but I bet she’d have a great time if you took her with you. How’s that for a Mother’s Day gift? You can purchase your tickets here.

Blink-182 has been a dominate force in the punk-rock community for years. On Thursday they announced that they would be releasing a deluxe version of California(2016) that would include 11 new songs as well as an accoustic version of the hit “Bored to Death.” This deluxe edition will hit the shelves on May 19th, but is now available for pre-order via their website or iTunes. You can catch them perform on March 30th in Kansas CIty. Tickets are on sale now.

As you can see we’ve got a stacked show this weekend, but we don’t think that’s good enough. You’re also going to be treated to the tunes of Motionless in White, As We Ascend and Sweet Ascent.
