This Week Inside the VORTX – Iron Maiden – Metallica – Ghost

This week the VORTX will spit out double shots from Metal legends as well as tunes from new rock sensation, Ghost.

Metallica has been around for what seems like forever and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. The band is currently touring their first release since 2008, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct. This album has done incredibly well since it came out back in November. In fact, it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The band also performed at the Grammy Awards this year.

Iron Maiden formed back in the mid 70s and became extremely successful by the early 80’s. The band has released 16 albums to date, including The Book of Souls. That album was named 5th in Rolling Stone‘s 20 Best Metal Albums of 2015. They are currently on The Book of Souls World Tour and will make a stop in Kansas City next week! More on that HERE.

Ghost (Ghost B.C.) is a Grammy award winning Swedish metal band. The band has released 3 albums since 2010 and have taken the rock world by storm and not just because the music is good. The band has had some controversy surrounding it because of the Satanic themes. Also, all of the band members are known as Nameless Ghouls; except for front man Papa Emeritus, a character in band whose real name is Tobias Forge.

This week we’ll also have tunes from Sweet Ascent, Rise Against, Nothing More and the rest of your favorite bands!

Don’t forget to keep up with us on Facebook and Twitter for all of the latest updates from inside the Vortx.
