Foreigner Rocks The Starlight with Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience

Hell of a show Right?

Two of America’s most legendary rock bands and one son’s incredible legacy will bring their North American tour to the Starlight Theatre on Tuesday, August 15. Foreigner and Cheap Trick will be joined by Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience.

Now, more than 40 years after their founding, with 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, Foreigner continues to captivate audiences, selling out shows and introducing new generations of fans to the memorable sounds of their rock era, including such enduring hits as “Juke Box Hero,” “Feels Like the First Time,” “Urgent” and many more.

To coincide with the tour, Foreigner will release a celebratory 40th anniversary album; “40 – Forty Hits From Forty Years”. As the title suggests, the album features 40 tracks including original hits, several songs from the band’s current lineup with Kelly Hansen on vocals, and two new songs, “The Flame Still Burns” and “Give My Life for Love.”

Joining Foreigner on tour is Cheap Trick, rock’s power-pop originator. The group forged its rightful place among the world’s most accomplished rock bands with a timeless sound that blends elements of pop, punk and metal. Since the release of a self-titled debut album in 1977, Cheap Trick has sold more than 20 million records, performed more than 5,000 times and maintained an infectious, ever-youthful sound. Spring 2016 was especially momentous for Cheap Trick as the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and released its 17th album, Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello.

Opening the show in bombastic style is Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. A tribute to Jason’s late father John, the thunderous power drummer of Led Zeppelin. Drumming to his dad’s beats since age four, Jason has established himself as a proper sit-in for his father on two momentous Zeppelin Reunion occasions, once in 1988 for the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary concert and again in 2009 for the legendary O2 Arena reunion concerts. In between he’s established himself as a legendary music maker out from under his father’s long shadow. Jason has worked with Paul Rodgers, Slash, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, UFO, Joe Bonamassa and most recently he’s helmed the skins for the headline act, Foreigner.
