This week the VORTX will provide double doses of rock from Linkin Park.

Linkin Park is one of the most successful rock bands to come out of the early 2000s. They’ve made a lot of great records since they formed including their debut album, Hybrid Theory, and their sophomore album, Meteora, which is referred to as one of the best rock albums of all time and certainly of the 2000s. Unfortunately, Chester Bennington took his own life last summer. LP fans and band members are still mourning to this day, but they all come together as one to honor Chester. That is their biggest goal, so we thought we could do the same this Sunday night. You’ll hear classic Linkin Park as well as a couple of new songs from the One More Light album. It’s going to be an emotional night, but we’re going to have a lot of fun at the same time.

Mike Shinoda, the rapper/singer in Linkin Park recently announced his solo album Post Traumatic. It’s release will be on June 5th, but we’ve got the first single from the album and will be spinning that this week along with your favorite tunes from LP.

This week we’ve also got some new music for you from a few of our favorite artists. You can expect to hear the latest single from the king of parties, Andrew W.K.
