Celebrate Earth Day at the Topeka Zoo

Earth Day is this weekend!

Earth Day’s Party for the Planet at the Topeka Zoo will be Saturday, April 21st, 9:00-3:00.

During this annual Earth Day celebration the zoo will have nearly three dozen booths, activities, and special events going on throughout the day at the zoo. Events will feature informational booths and hands-on activities from agencies around NE Kansas, as well as make and take crafts, edible activities, puppet shows, classes on how to plan and plant a butterfly garden, and the conclusion and exhibit of the Earth Day Story Telling Contest that has involved so many area residents and schools.

Classes on How to Plan and Plant a Butterfly Garden will be conducted at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
