A lot of us have plans to travel over Memorial Day Weekend, but do we also plan on getting a ticket?
Most of us haven’t budgeted for a ticket for our travels this Memorial Day, so you might want to be extra careful when you hit the road for the holiday. From May 21st to June 3rd, law enforcement will be cracking down across the state, emphasizing seat belt safety and ticketing those who are not buckled up. Take an extra 10 seconds when you and your family get in the car this spring to make sure that everyone in the vehicle is buckled in.
We can’t stress the importance of wearing your seatbelt enough. In Kansas, more than half of victims in fatal crashes were not wearing seat belts at the time of impact. Seat belts save lives and stop preventable injuries. Buckle up. Every trip. Every time.
Click it. Or ticket. It’s Kansas law.
