Day 2 of Rock on the Range 2018 was one for the books!
Day 2 started off with a rain delay before we got really busy and slammed with interviews, which you can find some of below. Due to the rain, some of the sets got cut short or moved to Sunday, which was okay, but then it wasn’t. There was another rain delay later on in the day that caused the concert to stop for a couple of hours and some of the bands had to cancel. One of those bands was Bullet for My Valentine, which was extremely disappointing, but this is what comes with outdoor concerts in the spring. Although, there were some issues with delays, day 2 still rocked. Take a look at some of our favorite things from day 2 and photos below.
Highlights
- Stone Sour – I was looking forward to catching up with these guys for awhile. The last time we had a chance to see them was back in September when they were on tour with Steel Panther and the last time we chatted with a member of the band was about a year ago after Chad from Nickelback shot his mouth off. Check out that interview here. This round with Stone Sour did not disappoint. We had the chance to chat with Roy, the drummer of the band and we talked about the new single “St. Marie” as well as his KISS underwear. Not only did we get to interview Roy, but we also got to watch an acoustic set from Stone Sour thanks to Zippo! Take a look at both of those things below!
- Three Days Grace – I was not expecting much from 3DG. I’m just being honest. They switched lead singers a few years back and I was pretty cautious about it. I’ve enjoyed the two records with Matt Walst since he took over the role of front man, but I was skeptical. I was wrong about them. They put on an amazing live show and I had a great time watching them. They went on the main stage about an hour or so after they opened the doors after the rain delay, but they had a killer set and a great crowd to go along with it. Take a look at some of their set below. We’ll have more interviews uploaded for you very soon, so keep checking back for more! Want to check out interviews and videos from day one of the festival?
