Middle of the Map fest is coming up next weekend!

This awesome festival takes place at multiple locations in the Kansas City area over the span of just two days, Friday June 29th and Saturday June 30th. This festival is particularly special because the various genres it is compiled of and the fact that it takes place at more than one location. The headlining location for this year’s festival is Crossroads KC at Grinders and they’ve got a killer lineup for you with bands like Spoon, Social Distortion and, yes, Greta Van Fleet.

Although we are excited to see all of the bands on the lineup for next weekends festivities, we are particularly excited to see Greta Van Fleet. They will just be getting back from Europe and a run of festivals in the US like Rock on the Range. They’ve been selling out shows both in the US and other countries as the hype for them continues to grow. The funniest part about the whole thing is that they haven’t even released a full length album yet, but they did reveal in an interview that it will be coming very soon. Maybe we’ll get to hear some new tunes from them at Middle of the Map. What excites me the most about seeing these guys at this particular festival is that the festival is local and held at smaller locations. It will be fun to see them at a smaller, more intimate venue than Rock on the Range.
