4 Things You Should Know About The 4th of July

On July 4th 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation.

You may think you learned everything about this exclusively American holiday in school… but just like we found out in the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer, there’s more to America than we realize.

As always, this uber-patriotic celebration will be marked by parades, fireworks and backyard barbecues across this fair land. But there are some interesting factoids you might not know and we have them for you.  If you’re smart, you’ll start offering them up as you’re flipping burgers this 4th and amaze everyone at your family BBQ. Don’t worry this isn’t a boring history lesson… It’s all about the things we as Americans like the best- Sex, blowing things up, food and hometown pride.
