This week the VORTX will offer up double shots from the nu-metal icon, Jonathan Davis.

JD is known as the lead singer and lyricist for the nu-metal band Korn. He writes all of his lyrics based on very personal and often times very dark topics, so fans have always been able to relate to the music. Earlier this year Jonathan released a solo album titled Black Labyrinth. In an interview with Ethan, JD says that the record was recorded about 10 years ago, but he finally got around to releasing it and going on a solo tour. This year Jonathan is also taking part in Cumulus Media’s neXt2rock contest as a celebrity adviser. Cumulus stations from all over the country, including V100, give local acts the chance at a record contract and national radio play through neXt2rock.
