This week The VORTX will highlight new tunes being released in 2019!

It is no secret that 2019 is going to be a massive year for rock and metal music. We’re reportedly getting new albums from Slipknot, Tool, Skillet and SO many more on top of the records that are being released in January alone. This month, we’ll get new records from Bring Me The Horizon, Papa Roach and FEVER 333. In honor of the new music, we’ll be featuring those three bands inside the VORTX on Sunday night. You’ll get double shots from one of those bands each hour of the show. 2019 is looking to be an amazing year.

Not only are we going to be highlighting new tunes from big bands, but 2019 is also going to be a big year for local music as well. We’ve got a bunch of new tunes from a band in Topeka called Stories Through Storms and we’re pretty sure you’re going to dig them.

This week we’re also going to be giving away tickets for Slayer in Kansas City!

We’re stoked about this year, the new music and all of the concerts we’ll be able to cover for you, but we want to know which bands you want us to interview this year!
