Where Does Kansas Land On Overall Taxes In The United States?

Tax time is here and people are hoping that they either get a nice big refund or they won’t have to pay a huge lump sum to the government. The financial website WALLET HUB has come out with its yearly report on the states with the highest and lowest tax rates in the United States. Kansas, known for its high vehicle tax, is also near the bottom when it comes to overall taxes.

According to the report, here is where Kansas lies on the list:

  • 47th – Overall Effective State & Local Tax Rate
  • 25th– Income Tax
  • 37th– Real-Estate Tax
  • 43rd– Vehicle Property Tax
  • 41st – Sales & Excise Taxes
