This was my first show of 2023 and it felt great to be back at The Midland Theatre rocking out to Bush tunes I’ve been singing along to for years. Gavin Rossdale has an incredible amount of energy on stage. I don’t think he stood still for longer than a few seconds, and even that was just to slow things down for a moment and play “Glycerine.”

Along with hits like “Machinehead,” Comedown,” and “The Chemicals Between Us,” Bush also played several from their latest album The Art of Survival and a really cool tune called “Bullet Holes” which was featured in the film John Wick 3.

The bottom line when it comes to Bush is that they’ve been doing this for decades and they’re not degrading at all. If you get the chance to catch them play live, don’t pass up on it.
