Wage War Stitch Together Heavy Set in Kansas City

While a storm raged on outside The Midland in Kansas City on Tuesday night, a different kind of rage was happening inside. Wage War and Nothing More stopped in Kansas City on their co-headlining tour with special guests Veil of Maya and Sleep Theory.

Prior to the show, Wage War hosted a VIP Meet and Greet that included a preview of their forthcoming album STIGMA due out on June 21st. We got to hear two tracks, “TOMBSTONE” and “BLUR,” prior to their release. “TOMBSTONE” will please fans of the band’s more aggressive work, while “BLUR” will likely be heard on radios across the country.

As for the show itself, Wage War did not disappoint. From opening with my favorite WW tune “Stitch,” to performing both “MAGNETIC” and “NAIL5” from STIGMA, they played an energetic set that spans their entire career. Their live shows really started getting bigger with the Manic album, but they haven’t stopped growing.

Wage War are clearly a frontrunner in the metal core scene and will continue to be a mainstay in the genre. If you missed this show, don’t sweat it. They’ll be back time and time again.
