The Vortx has opened just enough to reveal the artist of the week: Shinedown.

Shinedown have built their name on rock songs both brutal in power and epic in scope. With their latest album, Brent Smith, Barry Kerch, Eric Bass, and Zach Myers(Shinedown) veer away from that sound they’ve always been defined by. Featuring lead single “Cut the Cord” Threat to Survival finds the multi-platinum-selling band achieving their most powerful sound ever and offering up their most important album to date.

This week we’ll feature classic Shinedown hits like “Sound of Madness,” “I’ll Follow You,” and “Diamond Eyes.” We’ll also play “How Did You Love” and “Cut the Cord” from the bands most recent release as well as an acoustic cover of Adele‘s “Someone Like You.”

We’ll also feature music from local acts Sweet Ascent and Kingfisher alongside music from Green Day, Skillet, Ghost and more.
