This Week Inside The VORTX – Three Days Grace[ish]

This week the VORTX will spit out double shots of Three Days Grace from their entire library as a band and it might even throw in a few surprises.

Three Days Grace has been a household name in the rock community for 15 years and was formed by former lead singer Adam Gontier. The band produced hits like “I Hate Everything About You” and “Riot” while Adam fronted the band, but in 2013 Adam’s job as lead singer came to an end. He decided that it was time to move on to other things, or should we say another band? Either way, Adam is gone and we’ve got this new guy Matt Walst. Matt is the brother of TDG bassist Brad Walst and now former lead singer of a little band called My Darkest DaysSince Matt joined the band they’ve released one studio album called Human which features singles like “I Am Machine” and “Painkiller.” That album was released in 2014, so I expect that we will hear from Three Days Grace again in the very near future.

Since Adam left the band he started up another one. Saint Asonia formed in late 2014 and they began releasing music in 2015 with a couple of singles and a debut album under the same name as the band. Since they formed we’ve seen them tour with Disturbed as well as play several of the top rock festivals in the U.S., including Rock on the Range.

This week we’ll also spin tunes from Nickelback, Halestorm and Papa Roach.
