This week the VORTX caught wind of a rock n’ roll feud. Chad Kroeger and Corey Taylor are going at it, so we thought they should go head to head inside the VORTX.

We all know that this week Chad shot his mouth off about Corey and Stone Sour as well as Slipknot. So, each hour of the show we’ll have a back to back showdown between Nickelback and Stone Sour to celebrate. We’ll play one song by each band and let you vote for the winner on Twitter and Facebook!

Nickelback has been a top Rock band for the past 17 years and in that time they’ve released nine albums including Feed The Machine which was released on June 16th. In March, Nickelback joined the exclusive DIAMOND-certified club after the RIAA certified the group’s fifth studio album, All the Right Reasons, DIAMOND for surpassing 10 million units. Even if you don’t like them, they’ve got to be doing something right to get all of those record sales.

Corey Taylor has been a huge voice in rock music for over a decade, and he’s not stopping anytime soon. You probably know Corey as the front-man of Stone Sour and Slipknot, but he also a prolific author. His books include “Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good“ and “You’re Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look at the Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left.“ as well as a few others. This week his band Stone Sour goes head to head with Nickelback.
