This Week Inside the VORTX – DED – Starset – Nothing More

This week inside the VORTX we are all about new music. We’ll be focusing on DED, Starset and Nothing More who have released new tunes in the past couple of weeks.

DED is a new Metal band that formed just last year. You’ve heard the hit single “Anti-Everything” inside the VORTX and this week we’ll be premiering another DED song off of their debut album Mis-An-Thrope which was just released last week. These guys are extremely high energy and bring something new and unique to the metal scene. I’ve seen them perform once thus far and I was absolutely blown away. I spoke with Joe Cotela after the show and you can check that interview out below.

Live with Ded!

Starset is a high energy cinematic rock band. They’ve released two albums thus far thin their time as a band and won’t stop making music anytime soon. Not only does this band make killer tunes, but they put on an amazing live show as well. The show includes LED screens and even futuristic space suits with light up masks. In order to truly appreciate Starset, The Starset Society and everything they wish to accomplish you must see them live. Lucky for us, they’ll be in Wichita with Halestorm coming up in September. Tickets are on sale now.

Nothing More is a hard rock/metal band from San Antonio, TX that never disappoints. They’ve just released a couple of tracks off of their forthcoming record The Stories We Tell Ourselves. I don’t know what else to say about these guys other than you need to get your ass out to a show. They’ll be performing at a new venue in Kansas City called the Truman. Tickets for that show are on sale now and very inexpensive, so you have no excuse not to attend.

Also this week we’ll hear new tunes from Skillet, Cheap Trick and many more!

Don’t forget to keep up with V100’s VORTX on Facebook and Twitter for exclusive news from inside the VORTX as well as giveaways, polls and more.
