The VORTX is feeling edgy this week and is allowing two bands to headline the show! You’ll hear killer tunes from both 10 Years and RED!
Why would The VORTX pair 10 Years and RED together? They’re both releasing new albums on October 27th and they embark on a co-headlining tour starting October 17th.
The last time we heard from RED, Randy told us that they were working on a new record, but he couldn’t tell us anything about it. A lot has changed since then. RED recently announced that their new album Gone . The album is currently available for pre-order through a PledgeMusic campaign, but will also be available to pre-order on iTunes with two instant downloads on Friday(September 22nd). Fans have been waiting to get their hands on new music from RED ever since of Beauty and Rage was released back in 2015. You’ll hear a tune from the highly anticipated new album called “Still Alive” Sunday night inside The VORTX. Randy did Facebook live yesterday to answer some fan questions and spill a few beans:
Much like RED, 10 Years has also recently announced their new album. (how to live) AS GHOSTS will be released in October, the same day as Gone. You’ve already heard their new tune called “Novocaine” inside The VORTX, so you might have a good idea about the sound or concept of the new album, but with you music you can never judge an album by the single. If you don’t like “Novocaine” you shouldn’t give up on the album. Go pre-order it on iTunes or PlegeMusic so that you’ll find out as soon as the record drops.
This week we’ll also be spinning the latest tune from Linkin Park called “One More Light.” It’s not nearly as heavy as anything else we rock with inside The VORTX, but it’s something that all music and rock fans can appreciate.
As well as new LP, we’ll be kickin’ it with a little band called Man With A Mission. They open up for Stone Sour and Steel Panther next week in Kansas City.
