This week The VORTX has gathered a collection of songs from the top ten artists in the NeXt 2 Rock competition for your listening pleasures.

NeXt 2 Rock is a unique competition that helps local acts reach the rockstar status. It all began in September when we had bands submitting their songs for you, the fans, to rate on a scale of 1-5. This week we’ve compiled the songs submitted by the top ten bands who have received the highest ratings of the competition thus far. During this week’s special 5 hour show, you’ll hear two local tunes each hour of the show. We hope that this will inspire you and your friends to go rate all of the bands here. These “top ten” bands could change at any moment, but it’s all up to you guys. Which bands do you want to see at the NeXt 2 Rock regional finals? Who would you like to see perform at the Viper Room in LA for the finale? Rate those bands now and you’ll be entered to win a trip to the finale in LA.

Not only will The VORTX be dishing out tunes from your favorite local acts, but you’ll also hear iconic songs from Metallica, Shinedown and many of your other favorite artists. Trust us when we say that you are not going to want to miss this 5 hour long show.
