Over the past couple of months, local bands have entered a contest called NeXt 2 Rock. After the artist submission period closed, their fans and V100 listeners have been rating them on a scale of 1-5.

We are hosting a live event at The Landing Grille and Bar, so that the top 5 bands can show off their skills to you for free. This live event is extremely important to how far the bands go in the contest. We’ll have judges on hand to pick the top artist from the area to send them to the next stage, where our mentors and a panel of national industry judges will determine who moves on to the national finale at L.A.’s historic Viper Room. If they win the contest, they’ll get national radio play as well as the chance to sign a record deal with Big Machine Records.

This FREE concert is being held at The Landing Grille and Bar , this Sunday, November 19th from 6-8PM. This event will give you a chance to see the local bands live and it’ll give them a chance to prove to you and the judges that they have what it takes to be the NeXt 2 Rock star.

The VORTX hosted a NeXt 2 Rock night and a couple of the bands captured their song being played on the radio and shared about it on social media! Watch those below.
