Later this month, the Grammy Academy will celebrate pop music on live TV and crap on rock and metal by doing those awards during the pre-show, so The VORTX has decided to give those bands proper air-time.

This week we’ll feature six bands that are nominated for Grammy Awards in the Rock category. Some of the bands that we’ll hear from are Nothing More, Foo Fighters and Metallica. One thing that I’d like to point out is that Nothing More has the most nominations in the rock categories with a total of three nominations. If you haven’t heard their latest album The Stories We Tell Ourselves yet, you need to get your crap together. We’ll also chat this week about bands that may have gotten snubbed from the Grammy nominations because there were a lot of fantastic albums that were released in 2017. I can think of at least three right now that I would’ve given a nomination this year.

This week we’ll also be spinning the new tune from Breaking Benjamin again as well as adding more new music to the party from bands like A Day To Remember and Ded.
