Topeka will be hosting its 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 17th kicking off at 12pm. Come see V100 and the Rock Girls as we cruise through the parade. St. Patrick’s Day festivities will include the 10th Annual Great Topeka Bed Race. Check in for this race will begin at 8am and it will start at 10am. The 7th Annual Mater Dei Irish Fest will start with breakfast at 8am and the Irish Fest 5K Fun Run to follow at 9am. The parade will begin at noon in historic downtown Topeka.
While the official parade route has yet to be released, the areas between SW Topeka Boulevard and S Kansas Avenue and between 6th and 10th streets would be the areas to avoid on Saturday March 17th.
Topeka has had roller coaster weather conditions in the last few years with the beautiful and warm temperatures with an occasional cold wet and rainy St. Patrick’s Day, so fingers crossed for perfect weather conditions!
